Interview question
Tell me about a time you solved a difficult analytical problem.
Question 03 of the core set — asked of every candidate for this role.
AI-powered first-round interviews
RoundWise conducts structured first-round interviews, extracts evidence from every response, and gives your hiring team what it needs to decide.
S. Johnson
Product analyst · Interview completed
Based on the evidence captured during this interview.
Pending review
A recruiter will review the evidence and make the final decision.
Every candidate for a role gets the same core questions.
Each assessment quotes the transcript it rests on.
The AI recommends. A named recruiter decides.
Candidates are told it is AI, and can ask for a person.
We collect only what the round uses, and links expire.
The challenge
Recruiters face more applicants than ever, but time, inconsistency and manual steps slow down good hiring decisions.
Qualified candidates pile up faster than a team can interview them, so good people wait.
Different interviewers ask different questions, which makes two candidates hard to compare.
Hours go into coordinating calls that follow the same structure every time.
What someone actually said ends up spread across calls and spreadsheets, or is never written down.
How it works
RoundWise runs a structured process so your team can focus on the decision.
A spreadsheet of people already screened as qualified, or one candidate at a time.
All candidate data is minimised and access-controlled.
Each candidate gets a private link, good for one interview and a set window.
Each link is single-use and access-controlled.
Only after a person confirms the send. Every invitation says the first round is run by AI.
Interview link valid for 168 hours (7 days).
The candidate reads what the AI does and agrees before anything starts, or asks for a human instead.
The candidate is told it is AI, and can ask for a person.
The AI asks the planned questions by text or by voice. There is no camera at any point.
Text or voice. No camera, no facial or emotion analysis.
Answers are matched to the role's competencies, each tied to the transcript quote behind it.
Evidence is mapped to the role's competencies.
A structured report. Where a competency was never covered, it says so instead of guessing.
Evidence a person can check, not a number to trust.

Every assessment is backed by what the candidate actually said. You can trace any one of them back to the question that prompted it.

Question 03 of the core set — asked of every candidate for this role.
At my previous company our reporting process took three days. I analysed the data pipeline and found several unnecessary manual steps causing the delay.
Audio is kept when the interview was conducted by voice.
Source question and transcript position travel with every score, so a reviewer can check it rather than take it on trust.
RoundWise is built with transparency, control and accountability at the core.

FAQ
The answers describe what the product does today, not what is planned.
No, and it cannot. The AI produces a recommendation that is labelled advisory. A named recruiter chooses advance, hold or do not advance, and that choice is recorded against their identity with a timestamp. There is no code path that sends a hiring outcome to a candidate without a person.
No. Interviews are voice and text only. There is no camera at any point, and no facial or emotion analysis anywhere in the product. Nothing about how a candidate looks is collected or used as evidence.
Yes. The option is on the consent screen, before any session starts, and choosing it is not a withdrawal and does not count against them. It notifies the recruiting team so someone can arrange it. A candidate who declines is not assessed at all.
Interview links are single-use, scoped to one candidate, and expire after a set window. We collect only what the round actually uses — home address, for example, is never ingested. Transcripts, resumes and any audio are purged on a configured retention window. There is no public sign-up: recruiter accounts are provisioned.
The competency is marked not assessed and flagged for the reviewer, rather than estimated. A score submitted without a supporting transcript quote fails validation and never reaches a report. A missing score is information; an invented one is not.
The window is configurable per workspace and defaults to seven days. If a link expires before the candidate starts, a recruiter can reissue it. An expired invitation and one that never arrived are recorded as different things, because they mean different things.
Bring a job description and a shortlist you have already qualified, and we will walk through what a round produces — the questions, the evidence, and the report a recruiter decides from.
